Take Control of Food Production

The United Nations’ summit on food safety is presently under way. A network of 200 progressive organizations (none of them Swedish, unfortunately) has written an open letter to the world’s trade and agricultural ministers. The letter criticizes the deregulation of food production and appropriately demands measures to ensure the food supply.  The authors seek measures against speculation in food and to limit the power of transnational companies to determine what we eat. These are entirely correct demands and very much in line with my report (only in Swedish) that was adopted last week.
